International conference on the occasion of the eighth centenary of the death of Dominic of Caleruega (1221-2021). Bologna 22-25 September 2021

The international symposium, organized on the occasion of the eighth centenary of the death of Dominic of Caleruega, who died in Bologna on 6 August 1221, is the official conference of the Order of Preachers for the Jubilee. The initiative intends to reconsider the figure of the Saint and reflect on the crucial relationship between the founder of the Order of Preachers and the city, seat of the most ancient university in the Western world, thus focusing on the role played by Bologna in the more general project of building the Order.
