Dominican Historical Institute
The Historical Institute of the Order of Preachers (Institutum Historicum Ordinis Praedicatorum) is a research entity under the jurisdiction of the Master of the Order. It was established in Rome in 1930 by fr. Martin Stanislaus Gillet, the Master of the Order. Its mission is to study the history of the Order and to present the results of its research in scientific publications, lectures, etc. It publishes annually the journals Archivum Fratrum Praedicatorum and Dominican History Newsletter, and the series Monumenta Ordinis Fratrum Praedicatorum Historica and Dissertationes Historicae
